The ramblings of an aging cyclist
Last Thursday the RBA for the Boston Brevet Series put together a PBP Information evening. It was a good opportunity for us rookies to ask questions of PBP Anciens. It also brought the point home that PBP and the qualifying events are just around the corner. Its time to ramp up my training and get my Brevet bike put back together.

I have had a love of bicycling for as long as I can remember. I was an avid cyclist from the age of 9 until I was in my mid 20's. Work and other interests pushed cycling aside for a time. In 1998 my daughter asked for a road bike and I bought one as well. Since then I have once again fallen in love with the sport. Although I tried racing in high school it was not for me. Long rides alone through the rolling hills of Connecticut were what I enjoyed most. At the age of 48 I discovered a small part of the cycling world called Randonneuring which I have devoted myself to for the past two years.
